2,400 inhabitants, in the province of Salerno. Entirely located within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park. Four villages (Pisciotta, Rodio, Caprioli, and Marina) nestled between the green of olive trees and the blue of the sea. Centuries of history and a beauty that has enchanted travelers and poets, including Giuseppe Ungaretti.
A project, ‘Net-to-Net’
Starting from the local peculiarities - symbolized by the nets used for olive harvesting and anchovy fishing - in order to enhance the ability to capture the new networks of cultural and alternative tourism that seek destinations characterized by authenticity and the ability to preserve and transmit the identity traits of the Community.
An objective, in three points
The 'Net-to-Net' project aims, first and foremost, to enhance accessibility to the village of Pisciotta through the redevelopment of an ancient pedestrian path. The initiative also focuses on preserving valuable traditional activities, as well as exploring the possibility of creating new thematic routes suitable for emerging forms of tourist engagement.
Funded by the Ministries of Culture and Tourism with funds allocated for the redevelopment and cultural-touristic enhancement of small municipalities in the Southern regions, the 'Pisciotta Net-to-Net' project is structured around four main lines of action.
